While volunteering in Arusha You will have an opportunity to stay with a local family in a rural community 20 minutes away from Arusha downtown where by you will be charged as lillte as 10$ per night
You will help at school in any subject you are good at, teaching, marking, drawing and everything that may be useful to help the class.
You will support the education and care of the children in the orphanage.
Volunteers interested in helping with other types of activities, such as gardening, agriculture or animal care, are also welcome.
Requirements: Intermediate English
Typical day Routen :
The school is 10-30 minutes walk toa school from Monday to Friday, from 8.30 till 13.00 o-clock and then you will be free to explore Arusha. You will support the teachers in the class where they need you most. Probably during your stay you will teach one or two classes, the activities depend on what you want to do.
You will support the teachers during each lesson, making sure that the children listen or you can also do individualized instruction with children who need more support.
In the afternoon you can play with the children, help them in their tasks or enjoy your free time in your own activities.
